Canada froze out their opponents, piling on 37 shots while Norway could muster only two pucks on goal. Their first shot didn't come until midway through the second period.
The Yanks handed the Canadians a best-case scenario by defeating Russia by a 4-2 score, knocking Russia down from top spot. With the top seed, Canada will face Finland in Friday's semifinal game at 12 p.m. Atlantic time.
