Three Bearcats named to Team MHL South roster

TRURO - The Maritime Junior Hockey League recently finalized its rosters for teams representing the league at the 2016 Eastern Canada All-Star Challenge.

The tournament, set to take place in Cornwall, Ont., Nov. 14-16, will feature two MHL entries, one representing players of the Eastlink North Division and the other, players of the Eastlink South Division.

For the South, Truro Bearcats Shawn Evans is on the coaching staff and three players – netminder Jason Rioux, defenceman Riley Baggs and forward Brandon Hughes – were named to the team.

MHL President Brian Whitehead looks forward to seeing the league showcase its talents at the tournament.
