TRURO, N.S. – Fundy Textiles got off to a great start in the opening game of their best-of-three finals, in Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball, defeating Bible Hill Kinsmen 10-4.

The Kinsmen got off to an early 4-0 lead; however, strong batting and great pitching powered Fundy Textiles to the victory.

Doing the damage at the plate for Funday were Austin Brown and Brother Eli, who both turned in 3-for-3 performances. Jaden Duncan, Charlie Thompson and Zane O'Dwyer also contributed with two hits each.

On the mound it was Austin Brown picking up the win with two scoreless innings and Duncan with a perfect sixth, while striking out the side in order.

The Kinsmen received key hits from Griffin Scott, Erica Dennis and Brady McKinnon, while pitching duties were executed by Dean Lucas and Griffin Scott.

Game Two is set for Thursday evening, 6:15 p.m. at Victoria Park Field.
