TRURO, N.S. – CEC basketball teams will be seeking Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Division 1 Northumberland region crowns this week.
The girls team will play a regional semifinal at Dr. J.H. Gillis in Antigonish today at 5:30 p.m. The winner will play at North Nova Thursday for the regional banner.
The CEC boys will host either North Nova or Northumberland on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the regional final.
The regional champions will advance directly to provincials, while runners-up will compete in a provincial qualifier for the right to advance to the NSSAF championship tournament.
The NSSAF girls championship will be payed March 1 to 3 at North Nova. Sydney Academy will host the provincial boys championship, also March 1 to 3.
