TRURO, N.S. – Colchester County connections were all over the scoresheet Sunday as the Weeks Major Midgets downed the South Shore Mustangs 5-2 in the Nova Scotia Major Midget AAA Hockey League.

Truro goalie Ben Gibbon made 37 saves, including 19 in the second period, and Carson Lanceleve of Stewiacke fired two goals and assisted on another as Weeks won for the third time in four games to improve their fourth-place record to 6-5-1-0. 

Millbrook’s Hunter Martin and Brookfield’s Rowan Sears each added two assists, while Callum Bouma of Lower Truro also scored. Valley’s Marc Aucoin and Ben Fraser of Pleasant Valley also had assists.

Ryan MacLennan and Benjamin Williams had other markers for Weeks, while Brett Cameron and Mason Beck had goals for the Mustangs.
