Chapman, Chisholm among NSSBL leaders

TRURO, N.S. – While the Truro Bearcats have been struggling as a team, the latest Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League statistics show individual success for two players.

Bearcats player-coach John Chapman leads the league in batting average (.533), while veteran Jeff Chisholm leads the league in hits (9) and doubles (4). Chisholm is also tied for the lead in stolen bases (4).

On the mound, Chapman is second in strikeouts (13).

The Bearcats (0-7) visited the Kentville Wildcats Wednesday.

Truro travels to Cape Breton this weekend for two games against the Sydney Sooners. The teams play Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m.
