Man suffering from stab wounds found behind Halifax Police headquarters

HALIFAX, NS - Around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday officers discovered a man suffering from stab wounds near the rear entrance of HRP Headquarters on Gottingen Street. 

The 56-year-old man told police he had been walking in the area of Gottingen and Cogswell Streets when he was approached by two men who stole his wallet and stabbed him in the arm and abdomen. He was attended to by paramedics and transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. 

Police have found the scene of the stabbing but no arrests have been made.The suspects are described as a white man in his late teens and a white man in his thirties with a bald head.
