This weekend will be highlighted by the annual Whing Ding tonight and tomorrow in the Don Henderson Memorial Sportsplex parking lot, with several games of chance for young and old alike.

FRIDAY
11 a.m. - Tour of Lafarge, barbecue
2 to 5 p.m. - Celebrating our youth and youth concert, featuring local talent. SCA Cafetorium.
7 p.m. Whing Ding, sportsplex. Entertainment: Cherry Lane (Tim and Lorraine Ross, Joanne Hatfield, Mark Hamilton).
SATURDAY
9 a.m. - 5 km Welkome Fun Run. Meet at SCA to run a route around the village. Pre-Registration preferred by calling Marian at 673-3464.
10 a.m. - 1 km kids run for ages 10 and under, SCA track.
9:30 a.m. - Yoga for Runners. Join Lean Roop following the Fun Run for a session of after-run yoga, SCA.
10:30 a.m. - Remote airplane demonstration hosted by members of the Miniature Aircraft Society of Truro, SCA soccer field.
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - MacQuarrie's barbecue at the Creelman Park Train Station. Proceeds to Brookfield 4-H Club.
2 to 4 p.m. - Waterslides, SCA
2:30 p.m. - Sail Boat Regatta, Shortts Lake
7 p.m. - Whing Ding, sportsplex. Entertainment: Louisa Manual & Neil MacKinnon
10:30 p.m. - Fireworks

10 a.m. - Worship services, Brookfield Baptist Church
11:30 a.m. - Community worship service, Carter Homestead, 510 Carter Rd.
Homecoming closing - Dedication of park bench, recognition of 20 years of homecoming and volunteers.
Entertainment: Good Times Fiddlers. Lunch to follow.
2:30 p.m. Sailboat regatta.
