Four people, aged 17-24 are facing charges related to cocaine following a search of a home in Valley.
On August 28, around 6 p.m., members of Colchester District RCMP, Colchester General Investigation Section (GIS), and local intelligence officers of Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia (CISNS) searched a home on College Road.
They found 675 grams of cocaine, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and an extendable baton in the home, which is close to schools, parks and playgrounds. A vehicle was also seized.
Police are laying several charges in relation to this matter:
-A 19-year-old man from Valley is facing charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm.
-A 24-year-old man from Truro is facing charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
-A 17-year-old female youth from Truro, Colchester County is facing charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
-A 17-year-old female youth from North River is facing charges of Possession of Cocaine.
All four individuals were released from custody on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court in October and November.
