Knickolle Pitcher has been elected to the Bible Hill Village Commission.
Pitcher ran against Dale McLeod in the August 18 byelection. There were 175 ballots cast, with Pitcher receiving 109 votes and McLeod receiving 65. One ballot was spoiled.
“I’m very excited, and very pleased that the people who did vote got out,” said Pitcher. “I appreciate the votes, and all the ways people supported me.
“Campaigning was hard work, especially on the really hot days, but I met a lot of people and had some good chats.”
The byelection was held to replace Mitchell Bell, who stepped down as a commissioner in order to take the position as village clerk and treasurer.
Pitcher’s first meeting as a member of the commission takes place Tuesday evening.
“I will do the work; you can count on that,” she said. “I really want to be a part of positive change in Bible Hill.”
