NORTH RIVER, NS

A 19-year-old Bedford man was charged with stunting after being stopped for driving 62 km/hr over the limit in North River.

RCMP Northwest Traffic Services stopped the man at 9:46 a.m. on July 1, after readings showed he was travelling along Highway 104 at 172 km/hr in a 110 km/hr zone.

His driver's licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized.

The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2422.50.
