The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board could be smaller after the next election.

Among those presented with awards during the Education Week ceremony in Bedford Monday were Shan King, Winding River Consolidated School; Janice Smith, Pugwash District High School and Sally Steeves, West Pictou Consolidated School.

Governing Board Member Adam Davies received the Nova Scotia School Boards Association Provincial Education Week Partner Award.

The theme of this year’s Education Week is Media Literacy: Empowering Critical Thinking in a Digital Media World, and the awards focus on honouring educators who are teaching students to become respectful, responsible and ethical digital citizens.
