International Women’s Day is a celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements. All funds raised from this event will support Girl Power!, the centre’s summer camp programs for girls in Colchester County.
Guest speakers are Dee Dooley, who will talk about working with teens at the Halifax YWCA, and Colette Robicheau, who will present on the etiquette of high tea.

Local businesswomen will have booths set up for the event, which runs from 4:30-6 p.m. There will also be a footwear fashion show and contest, door prizes and a 50/50 draw.

All funds raised will go toward the resource centre’s Girl Power program. Tickets are $25, and can be purchased at the centre, on eventbrite.ca or at MacQuarrie's Pharmasave in Truro.
