From 4 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 19, students will be in various neighbourhoods in Truro and Bible Hill, knocking on doors and collecting donations for the Colchester Food Bank. Donations can also be made at the school on Lorne Street during those same hours.

The food drive is being held in conjunction with the third annual Battle of the Badges charity hockey game between the Truro Police Service and Truro Fire Service. The game begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre.

Last year, the students collected just over 1,100 pounds of food, with a goal of surpassing that amount this year.
