Shakespeare in the Park was a success on Tuesday night.

The live theatre took place in Victoria Park, showcasing the play Romeo and Juliet. At least 150 people watched the production, which was presented by Lenore Zann and the Truro Theatre Society, featured many local actors, including Alex Purdy as Romeo, left, and Ross Thompson as Friar Laurence.

Truro's Nathan Borden attended the event and was greatly impressed.

"They look really realistic and it's very good. I hope they do more of these," said Borden.

The production will also take place in the park on Wednesday and Thursday night at 7 p.m. will have photos, interviews and a video of some of the production on Wednesday.
