Truro police seeking suspect in armed robbery

TRURO – The Truro Police Service is searching for a male suspect after an armed robbery at the Subway restaurant Monday night.

Cpl. Rick Hickox said the man walked into the restaurant on Elm Street at 9:30 p.m. brandishing a weapon and demanding cash.

“He was unsuccessful and fled the scene,” said Hickox.

The suspect is described at six feet tall wearing a blue hoodie with Phat Farm spelled in white lettering on the front.

“He was also wearing dark sunglasses, grey sweatpants and black sneakers with white soles,” he said, adding the suspect was also wearing a blue bandana over his face and a hat.

No one was injured in the incident.
