Suspect turns herself in following Indian Brook stabbing

INDIAN BROOK – A suspect to a stabbing in Indian Brook early Sunday morning has turned herself in to police.

The 29-year-old female turned herself in to the Eskasoni RCMP detachment and was arrested at around 8 p.m. Monday. She was to appear in provincial court in Sydney on Tuesday.

On June 8 at approximately 1 a.m., Indian Brook RCMP responded to a stabbing incident that occurred on Eagles Nest Road.

A 33-year-old Indian Brook man was stabbed at a residence and then transported to Colchester East Hants Health Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues with Indian Brook RCMP and the North East Nova Major Crime Unit.
