TRURO – A 37-year-old Truro Heights woman was arrested on Tuesday for trafficking hydromorphone.

Kimberley Johann Clough was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in May.

Along with Clough, the Truro Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit also arrested a 38-year-old Bible Hill woman for possession of hydromorphone. She has been released and charges are pending.

During the drug bust, police seized a number of hydromorphone pills, along with $420 in cash.

“These arrests confirm our commitment to investigate and charge people involved in the illicit sale of prescription pills,” said a press release issued by the Truro Police Service about the arrests.
