TRURO – A tractor-trailer B train accident has forced the closure of the Highway 102 westbound interchange to Highway 104.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., Bible Hill RCMP, Cobequid Fire Department and Nova Scotia Power responded to a 911 call of a tractor-trailor that crashed into a power pole while travelling on the interchange.

The driver, who was the lone occupant, was not injured.

The interchange is expected to be closed for the next couple of hours, RCMP say, and motorists can expect delays.

Traffic is being re-routed and motorist can take the Highway 102 interchange to Highway 104 eastbound and then take Exit 17 to get back on Highway 104 westbound.

The investigation is continuing.
