The emphasis was on fun, rather than competition at the Victoria Park diamond Sunday during a Challenger baseball game.

TRURO – It was a great day on the diamond for players, their buddies and an appreciative crowd that turned out for a game of Challenger baseball.

The game was played at Victoria Park, and is designed to allow children with cognitive or physical disabilities to enjoy playing ball as part of a team.
The volunteer buddies are assigned to a player and help them respond to plays and get around the base paths.
The score?
No one knows, no one cares.
The important thing was everybody had a great time.
