BIBLE HILL, N.S. – A celebration is being held in Bible Hill to welcome in the Lunar New Year on Sunday.
To celebrate the year of the dog, the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus is throwing a celebration feast featuring a full Chinese buffet and traditional Asian-inspired entertainment.
The night will start at 5 p.m. in Jenkins Hall with the buffet, which will feature traditional dishes of won ton soup, dumplings, meat and veggie rolls, noodles and fried rice as well as Chinese teas and desserts.
There will be a presentation on the meaning of the Lunar New Year, as well as musical entertainment featuring both Chinese and Korean music.
The night will wrap up with a traditional dragon dance and fireworks around 7 p.m.
The event is open to the public, tickets can be purchased at the door. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students, $7 for seniors and $5 for children over four, under four get in free.
