TRURO, N.S. – The Cancer Society is looking for help selling daffodils in Truro.

Volunteers will be selling the bright yellow flowers in the community this Thursday, Friday and Saturday but organizers are having trouble filling a couple shifts on Thursday.

They are looking for two people Thursday morning – one for a 10 a.m. to 12 noon shift at Sobeys on Robie Street and one for the same shift at Walmart.

A bunch of daffodils costs $8 and money raised helps people living with cancer and funds life-saving research, information and support services including the Lodge That Gives and Camp Goodtime.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help the Cancer Society can call Sharon Bristol 902-667-0504 or email her at sharon.bristol@ns.cancer.ca

Oh and don’t forget to pick up a bunch of the pretty flowers while you’re out and about later this week.
