Trail walks, dodgeball tournament, golf on tap for end of May
The weather is getting warmer and the sun is thankfully finding its place in the sky. With the sun shining and the temperature rising, summer must be around the corner, which means lots of outdoor programming.
For the Town of Stewiacke, we have a Trail Walk at The John Crawford on May 31. Youth in grade primary up to grade three are welcome. Bring along your parent while you explore what the trail has to offer.
On May 31 we also have a dodgeball tournament being held at the Stewiacke Community Centre. The tournament is for youth grades four to seven. To register your team, call 902-639-2111 or email email@example.com. The tournament will start at 1 p.m. and go until we have a winner. It’s also free of charge!
We have an outdoor walking club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. On Tuesdays we meet at the Winding River Consolidated School and on Thursday evenings we meet at the Town Hall in Stewiacke.
Lastly, Fox Hollow Golf Course has a junior program starting up May 27, so if this is something that strikes your interest, don’t hesitate to contact Fox Hollow for more information.
With June right around the corner we have our annual Ravenous for Rhubarb Festival happening in the Town of Stewiacke. This year there will be plenty of rhubarb festivities, an acoustic concert, a car show and much more. Check out the Facebook page: Town of Stewiacke Ravenous for Rhubarb for more detailed information.
