Margaret MacDonald’s shop is all about energy.
She opened the Little Blue Nook at 8 Dominion Street (the former Book Nook location) on Halloween day, which is very fitting.
“It’s a spiritual shop and there are items like gems, crystals, and books on spirituality,” she said. “I’m a medium and do tarot readings.”
Skype readings and reading parties can be arranged.
The business also offers reiki for both people and animals, as well as some animal care products.
In recognition of the building’s past, and the value of reading, MacDonald plans to add a bookshelf to the shop. People will be able to leave books they no longer want and take those they wish to read, free of charge.
The Little Blue Nook is open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Private bookings are available during the evenings.
