Murphys, MacKenzies pick up rec league wins

DEBERT - Defence was put on the back burner on Monday night in the Labatt West Colchester Commercial Hockey League.
Murphy's Fish and Chips outgunned The Fringe 7-6, while MacKenzie's Towing outlasted the Power Centre Flyers 8-5 in a pair of run n' gun contests.
Matt McClellan's third goal of the game with 5:31 remaining was the eventual winner for Murphy's, while Randy Frame, with a pair, Joel Isenor and Chris Ryan scored other goals.
John Blaauwendraat had three goals and two assists for The Fringe, while Brad Wood had two goals and two helpers. Mike Field fired the other marker.
Meanwhile, Spencer Cox and Paul McKenna led MacKenzie's with a pair of goals each, while Justin Martin, Nick Fitzgerald, Blair Keily and Alex Terry added singles.
Jonathan Julien, with two, Chuck Francis, C.J. Sack and Wally Bernard replied for the Flyers.
