Inglis Bearcats nab bronze at Sullivan tourney

TRURO - The Truro Inglis Jewellers Bearcats won the bronze medal at the recent Allan Sullivan Tournament in Sydney.
Truro edged the Antigonish Bulldogs 2-1 in the consolation final.
Hayden Boutilier and Mitchell Redmond provided the scoring while Matt Bent, Jevan McNutt and Boutilier earned assists.
The Bearcats posted a 1-1-1 record in the preliminary round, which included a 1-1 tie with Cape Breton County, a 2-1 loss to the Bulldogs and a 2-1 win over the Pictou County Pipers. Brendan Starratt, Noah Archibald, Ryan Chambers and McNutt posted goals. Lucas Rushton, Tommy Faulkner, McNutt and Starratt supplied the assists.
The Bearcats then fell 2-0 to the Pipers in the semifinal.
Cole Yuill and Ryan Muir combined for a stingy 1.40 goals against average. Muir was twice named the player of the game, while Yuill earned the honour once.
