Rams hoops teams suffer losses

BIBLE HILL - The NSAC Rams women's basketball team suffered its first loss since the Christmas break Sunday in the Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association.
The Rams were upended 70-58 by the Kings Blue Devils a day after beating the Holland Hurricanes 52-47.
Kelsey Harpman pumped in a game-high 22 points for the Rams against Kings, who were led by Margaret Neville with 20 points.
Harpman also led the Rams with 14 points against the Hurricanes as Jessica Leck added 12, Jennifer Lutes drained 11 and Jessica Blandin and Felicia Strickland each netted four points. Patti Gilroy netted three points and Meredith Smith and Meagan MacLeod chipped in two points each.
The Rams women are 3-1 since Christmas thanks to 68-53 and 63-61 wins over the Crandall Blue Tide and Hurricanes, respectively.
The Rams men remain winless since the break after suffering 67-54 and 77-46 losses to the Blue Devils and Hurricanes on the weekend.
Jonathan Kennedy led the NSAC with 19 points against the Hurricanes while Luke Wiseman poured in 16. Keegan Fiske and Chance Simmonds each added four points.
Scorers weren't available for the Kings game.
The Rams men came back from the Christmas break with 85-63 and 91-49 losses to Crandall and Holland College.
