TRURO - The Truro Bearcats host the powerhouse Dartmouth Moosehead Dry Tuesday in a Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League game.
First pitch at the TAAC Grounds is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The Bearcats (13-13) enter the contest after losing two of three weekend games to the Sydney Sooners, while the Moosehead Dry (20-3) have won eight in a row.
In Sydney on Sunday, Justin Farrow's RBI double in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Sooners a 5-4 win over the Bearcats in the rubber match of the three-game set.
Matt Denney led the hosts with four singles, while Farrow had two doubles and Jeff MacKinnon added a pair of hits. Dan Bates and Adam Lombard had three hits each for the Bearcat and Nick Best singled and doubled.
Nate Brewer pitched the win and John Chapman took the loss.
On Saturday, the Sooners won the opener of a doubleheader 12-1, howevere, the Bearcats rebounded with a 4-3 victory in Game 2.
In Game 1, Duncan MacDougall led Sooners with three singles, while Cory Christie had two singles and a double and Denney launched a three-run homer. Ryan Bates led the Bearcats with three singles.
In Game 2, Dan Bates hit an RBI double in the ninth to score the winning run for Truro. Guy Pellerine and Jeff Chisholm each had solo homers in the win, while Farrow had two singles for Sydney and Jordan Shepherd belted a two-run homerun.
