TRURO – A series of introductory flag football clinics for ages nine and under and 11 and under will be hosted here by Football Nova Scotia, Truro Minor Football, Village of Bible Hill and the Municipality of the County of Colchester.
The clinics will offer a chance to try the sport for free before signing up for the eight-week flag program being offered May and June.
Free try and learn flag football sessions will be held at the Agridome, Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Grounds, Bible Hill from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; April 23, April 29 and April 30.
In this program, boys and girls will work on the development of fundamental skills required in flag football by participating in various drills, relays and games. This program is open to all abilities, beginners to experienced.
Flag Football is a non-contact game that promotes skill development, cardio training and mental strategy. It is easily adapted any age, any ability and both males and females and is one of the fastest growing sports being played in Canada with competition extending internationally.
