97 Brandon Boutilier

Brandon Boutilier is this week's Bearcat-of-the-week.
In the four games in the EastLink Division final against the Pictou County Crushers, Boutilier tallied a goal and four assists. More importantly it was his relentless play in the Crushers zone which created countless turnovers and generated opportunities for his team. Since arriving in January, he's totally regained his game and has been a major contributor in all zones.
He got started in hockey with the TASA Mighty Ducks and worked his way up to the major midget level with the Halifax Titans. Following his two-year stint there, the 2010 Pictou County Crushers pick played the 2010-11 season in Pictou County but was traded midway through the next season to the Halifax Shipbuilders. He came to Valley this year as the franchise moved and served as captain until his trade to Truro. He's relishing this postseason opportunity with the Bearcats.
In 2007, the Bearcats came first in their Division, swept the first two rounds in eight straight games; went on to won the Kent Cup; then, moved on to the Fred Page Cup in Saint Jerome, Que. Enough said.
Game 6 in the Dieppe/Miramichi series is set for tonight in Dieppe.
Game 7, if necessary, will be played Saturday in Miramichi. Dieppe currently leads the series 3-2.
The winner of the Meek Division final will face the Truro Bearcats for the Kent Cup. Game 1 in that series is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. at RECC.
