TRURO - The Rev finished in a tie for second Saturday in his start at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.

The four-year-old colt, owned by Truro's Stephen Tufts and Robert Skinner and trained by Danny Romo, crossed the finish in 1:52.4, along with Bilbo Hanover.

The Rev's time was just a tenth of a second off winner Nickle Bag, who was piloted by Bible Hill native Jody Jamieson.

The race, for horses five and under, featured a purse of $20,000. It was the first of an 11-dash card.

The Rev, a son of Western Paradise, finished atop the Atlantic Sires Stakes points standings for three-year olds in 2013 with three wins and a second-place finish in five starts.
