BIBLE HILL - The Dalhousie Rams will finish the regular season with the final ACAA women's volleyball playoff spot whether they get to play their last match or not.

Dalhousie Rams

Mother Nature forced the cancellation Sunday of the Rams' date with the Sainte Anne Dragons, which was slated for 3 p.m. But Snowy conditions, followed by freezing rain, early Sunday made travelling treacherous throughout the province. No make-up date had been announced at press time but with the ACAA championship tournament slated for this weekend at Mount Allison, squeezing one in could be a challenge.

The Rams (10-7) currently sit fourth, two points behind both the Mount Allison Mounties (11-7) and the Saint John Seawolves (11-7). However, even if Dalhousie does play its final match in and wins, both Mount Allison and Saint John hold the tie-breaker against the Rams with more head-to-head victories.

All of this comes despite the Rams beating the Mounties 3-1 (25-22, 14-25, 25-18, 25-22) on Friday. Thea McLachlin led Dalhousie with 14 kills and eight digs while Truro's Samantha Fanning recorded nine kills and eight digs. Sarah Matheson, also a Truro resident, was named player of the match with eight kills and seven digs. Rachel Hughes made 33 assists and 15 digs while Katie MacQueen dug 16.

Georgia Sibold collected 11 kills and 11 digs for the Mounties.
