Rams men's hoops team comes up short after late push

BIBLE HILL - It was too little too late for the Dalhousie Rams in their recent ACAA men's basketball contest with the Mount Allison Mounties.

The Rams (1-8) outscored the Mounties (5-3) 49-43 in the second half but lost the game 86-71.

The result leaves the Rams in a tie for seventh in the eight-team conference with the Kings Blue Devils (1-7).

The loss came a day after the Rams opened 2014 with a 112-52 setback to the Crandall Chargers (9-1).

The Rams trailed 43-22 at half time.

Truro's Taran Jordan led the Rams with 16 points and eight rebounds while Marcus Robinson collected 16 points and four rebounds. Brookfield resident Cody Locke drained 10 points.
