BROOKFIELD - A win tonight would be huge for the Brookfield Elks.

Brookfield Elks

Not only would two points lift the Elks (5-12-2-1) out of the basement in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League's Fred Fox Division, but it would also be their first victory of the season over the rival Sackville Blazers (11-5-0-0).

Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Don Henderson Memorial Sportsplex.

The Elks sit last among the division's six teams, but trail the fifth-place Eastern Shore mariners (7-10-1-0) by just two points.

Sackville lies fourth, nine points clear of Brookfield.

The defending champion Blazers have won all three meetings between the clubs this season, outscoring the Elks 24-2.

Brookfield is fresh off a 3-2 shootout victory over the division-leading Valley maple Leafs (13-6-1-0) on Friday.
