#40 Jordan Kennedy
Reserve Mines, NS
6'3, 190 lbs.
Jordan Kennedy is this week's Bearcat-of-the-Week.
In both games last week, he backstopped the team, losing a shootout in Woodstock and earning the win at home against Yarmouth. The three points moved the Bearcats into second spot in the Eastlink Division coming into this week. Making the big saves and being positionally confident have a huge impact upon teammates.
He started hockey in the Sydney area and after one season with the Cape Breton Tradesmen major midget program he was off to the QMJHL.
The 2009 draft choice of the Lewiston Maineiacs, he played 12 games in the 2009-10 season, followed the next year with moves from Lewiston, to the Moncton Wildcats and then the MHL.
Last year, he was the go-to guy for the Miramichi Timberwolves. His experience serves as an asset to the Bearcats goaltending tandem.
Zach Sill became the fourth Bearcat to suit up in the NHL earlier this week.
His Nov. 16 debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins allows his name to stand alongside Matt Climie, David Brine and Andrew MacDonald as Truro grads who went to the highest level.
Tonight, the Bearcats are in Yarmouth to face a Mariners squad looking to improve their lot in the Eastlink Division.
Tomorrow night, the Bearcats are at home to face the Bridgewater Lumberjacks at 7 p.m. at RECC.
