Flames burn Soft Touch in commercial league hockey

DEBERT – The MacKenzie’s Towing Flames handed Soft Touch Car Wash a 5-3 setback recently in the Labatt West Colchester Commercial Hockey League.

Spencer Cox led the Flames with a hat trick while Justin Martin and Paul McKenna also scored. Cox also recorded an assist and Derek Mackenzie was the winning goaltender.

Aaron Manuel, Ross Percy and Thomas Whidden responded for Soft Touch as Landon Crowe was tagged with the loss.

In other action the Gutter Done Thunder turned aside Carstar Collision 4-0.

Jason Blois, Kevin LeBlanc, Brad Ritchie and Josh Kennedy struck for the winners. Ritchie also had two assists and Kennedy added a single helper. Kelly Hirtle posted the shutout.
