Multiserve takes stranglehold in playoff series with McLellan’s

DEBERT – Multiserve Petroleum Equipment took a 2-0 series lead over McLellan’s Machine Shop recently with a 5-4 victory in their best-of-five Labatt West Colchester Commercial Hockey League playoff series.

Lee Davidson led the winners with a pair of goals while Aaron Taylor, Kyle Moore and John Blaauwendraat also scored. Chris Moore notched a pair of assists and Jeff Simms recorded the victory.

Brandon McLean responded with two goals for McLellan’s while Ryan Bates and Trevor Lynds also scored.

Multiserve opened the series with an 8-6 win.

In other action, Maxwell’s Service Centre nipped MacKenzie’s Towing 3-2 to knot their series 1-1. Chris Thompson, Brandon O’Brien and Devin Thompson struck for Maxwell’s with Aaron Grue in the net. Pat Rushton pitched in two assists.

Paul McKenna scored both MacKenzie’s tallies.

MacKenzie’s won the series’ opener 5-3.

Both series resume Friday at West Colchester United Arena.
