Ramblers slip past Bearcats in junior A hockey tilt

AMHERST – The Truro Bearcats dropped a 3-2 decision to the Amherst Ramblers on Wednesday in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.

The teams entered the third period tied 2-2, however, Amherst’s Ben Berisha scored late in the game in front of 622 fans at the Amherst Stadium.

Brock Morrison and Patrick Harrison had other Amherst goals, while Cal Gloade and Mitchell Robillard scored for Truro.

Bearcats goaltender Shayne Campbell made 34 saves, while Richard Tingley of the Ramblers made 28 stops.
