Big guns coming to Truro for junior high hoops tourney

TRURO – The Truro Panthers are bringing in some of the best junior high basketball talent from across the province for this weekend’s Subway Panther Invitational.

The event kicks off Friday when the Panthers take on the Bible Hill Huskies at 12:30 p.m. at Truro junior high. Action continues until Saturday’s 3 p.m. final.

Also competing at the event will be Halifax’s top squad, the Graham Creighton Wildcats, and the heavy-hitting New Glasgow Panthers. The Hants North Flames and East Pictou Blue Eagles round out the field.
