NDP Incumbent Lenore Zann gets a hug from a supporter after learning she had been re-elected for a second term in Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River.

Nova Scotia's voters elected a Liberal majority on Oct. 8, 2013, with the party taking 33 seats in the Legislature. The Progressive Conservatives claimed 11 seats and the New Democratic Party won seven. Incumbent Karen Casey won Colchester North for the Liberals while Lenore Zann also retained her seat in Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River for the New Democrats. Rev. Larry Harrison of the Progressive Conservatives claimed the riding of Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley.
