Hardworking, generous individuals deserve accolades

In more than three quarters of a century, I’ve observed that it is not a common practice to give credit where credit is due and when it is done, the recipient, in some cases, is embarrassed.

So today I've decided to take a few minutes to throw some light on a couple of topics. As far as I'm concerned, one of the most underrated groups in our society is the refuse removers. Can you imagine what our communities would look and smell like if we didn't have these important, hardworking individuals providing this necessary service? Another unmentioned group is the small and large investors in our society who use their surplus income to invest in companies large and small that create jobs and produce products that generally enhance our standard of living. So come on you negative people, before you open your mouths and let lose with a derogatory statement, think about the many valuable services provided by, in some cases, your neighbour. Look on the bright side and realize that no matter what your economic position is, how fortunate we are to have been born in Canada.
