Eight realism artists of Nova Scotia will be present at the opening of their show on Friday, Sept. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the NSCC McCarthy Art Gallery, 36 Arthur St., Truro.

Janice Guinan, a local artist who passionately believes in the importance of visual art, is showcasing these talented artists in a series of columns in the Truro Daily News on Wednesdays and in the Colchester Weekly News.

Joy Snihur Wyatt Laking’s painting Our Bay was painted on location by the Bay of Fundy using an open-air technique or what is called En Plein Air.
