TRURO – A workshop on how to prepare potpourri will take place at the Colchester Historeum in Truro next week.
Pauline Thomson, president of the museum’s board of directors, said the workshop will be held July 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. and will show people what is required to make potpourri.
“We’ll have recipes, tell you what’s needed and have some tips,” said Thomson, adding dried flowers have to be gathered during the summer to make fall potpourri.
The workshop is in preparation for a Sept. 18 assembly, also at the museum, in which people will bring their dried flowers and create their own potpourri. That event will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. as well.
People with all levels of potpourri-making are welcome. Museum members will get into the events free of charge. Non-members will be charged $2.
