What's happening Thursday in Colchester County

Drop-in knit and crochet group

JULY 3 – Truro library. 3 to 4:30 p.m. Drop in or crochet with others. Bring your yarn and needles. Patterns and written instructions will be available. For ages and older.

Salad and strawberry supper

JULY 3 – Knox Church Hall, Brookfield, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., adults $12, $5 for students under age 12, preschoolers eat free. Proceeds for Knox Church Council.

Community snacks

JULY 3 – Young Street Gospel Hall, beside the Truro fire hall. 10:30 a.m. to noon. Free coffee, tea and snacks. Everyone welcome.

Potpourri workshop

JULY 3 – Colchester Historeum, 29 Young St., Truro. 2 to 3 p.m. How to start collecting, drying and preparing flowers and herbs to make potpourri in the fall. Refreshments will be served. Call the museum for more information at 895-6284.


JULY 3 – Royal Canadian Legion, Truro. 7 p.m. in the canteen.
