Halifax man charged with impaired driving, stunting, clocked at 167 km/h: police

OXFORD - A 28-year-old Halifax man was clocked driving 167 km/h on one of Nova Scotia's highways on Saturday.

Oxford RCMP were on patrol on the Trans-Canada Highway when they located a westbound vehicle near Exit 7 travelling at 167 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

Officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver was impaired, driving while his licence was revoked and possessed open liquor in the vehicle.

The man is due to attend court Aug. 11 in Amherst. He's facing charges of impaired driving, failing the breathalyzer, driving while his licence was revoked and stunting.
