TRURO HEIGHTS – The Toronto Children’s Chorus is set to perform a free show at the Glooscap Heritage Centre this month.

The performance, which begins at noon on May 19, is a rare opportunity to hear

“Nikmak,” a new commission by Canadian composers Donald Patriquin and Elsie Letourneau. The piece features Mi’kmaq texts, dance and the poetry of Rita Joe, “Our Home Is This Country.”

Now in its 36th season, the chorus is committed to enriching lives of children through the discipline, teamwork and unique camaraderie of fine choral singing.
