TRURO - After approximately 40 years of business in Truro, Frenchy's closed its doors on Sunday.

Alisa Brown bags clothes for Nine Mile River's Laura Osborne during the final day of business at Frenchy's in Truro.

Between 200 and 300 people had been to the store on Sunday in the first half of its five hours in business, which saw customers walk away with bags of clothes for $10 a bag.

The owner, Marcel Amirault, is expected to make an announcement this week about his future plans for the site, plans he says will be good news for the town.
