BIBLE HILL - Nova Scotians across the province are recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness month.

In order to promote public awareness, Colchester District RCMP and community partners teamed up to speak with the public. On April 11, members of the Central Nova Women's Resource Centre, the Colchester Third Place Transition House and RCMP held a series of checkpoints around Bible Hill, speaking to hundreds of motorists and passing out awareness material.

This is one of many events around the province that service providers, community organizations and the public will be involved with to help to identify actions to move this strategy forward.
