TRURO – Since last October’s provincial election, Colchester North MLA Karen Casey has recorded the most expenses out of the area’s three MLAs.
Expenses filed with the province by the Liberal MLA for the four months of November, December, January and February, total $23,296.52.
Larry Harrison, the Progressive Conservative MLA for the riding of Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley, came in second highest with total expenses for the same period of $21,049.
Lenore Zann, the NDP MLA for Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River, recorded total expenses for the four months of $17,710.45.
Looking at only the months of January and February of this year however, Harrison came in as the top spender with a total of $13,198.83, compared to second-place finisher Zann, with a total of $13,045.78.
Casey filed the least amount of expenses of the three MLAs for those months with a total of $10,834.
