OLD BARNS – Anyone in the Old Barns area that has concerns to bring to their local Member of Parliament can do so on Monday.
Scott Armstrong, MP for Cumberland-Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley, is hosting the meeting at the Cobequid Consolidated Elementary School at 7 p.m. to address the concerns of constituents around the riding.
“I am very excited to announce that I will visit Old Barns next Monday to meet with constituents from Old Barns and surrounding areas,” said Armstrong in a news release. “These community-based meetings give local constituents the opportunity to bring up their issues with their Member of Parliament and provides an opportunity to discuss issues of concern to them.
“I also want to make sure that I continue to be accessible to all the citizens of this large and diverse riding to ensure I understand their views and concerns when I return back to Ottawa.”
The school is located at 2998 Highway 236 in Old Barns. Refreshments will be served.
The meeting is the 19th in a series that began in August 2011, to increase accessibility and engagement with constituents.
